The New Taskmaster

With as little as 24 hours in a day, I find myself dashing from one energetic mission to the next in the hope of finding a small window of time to write ✍️

I love to do all priority jobs first on my lists. It's about fulfillness mainly, so I feel less guilty about 'me-time,' which consists of writing, drawing and anything else that consumes my interest in a fun way for usually, hours.

I am a very recent convert to the idea of lists, (click here to read that blog) and have found their use overwhelmingly important to my overall time management and mental Well-being. This may sound silly to some and like common sense to other that have always used lists, but some of you, may be you're like me and have never even considered using one. Like I've said before, I'm fairly confident I have attention deficit disorder (ADD). It's a form of ADHD; so my concentration is not very good, basically. This is obviously something I've known my whole life, but now it feels like there's at least a reason for it. I even did a test last night online and the result was I may have 'Inattentive ADHD.' As I said in my last blog, this is just how things have been my whole life and having a list on my phone, which is to hand roughly 99.999999% of the time has changed everything. If I start procrastinating, I just check the list. I have got so much done in recent days, it's crazy. Hence now, rather than feeling down and depressed about my lack of daily achievements, I feel like the Taskmaster! Before, I'd try to do everything all at once, get distracted and do something else, get distracted again and so on. I'm focused now and it feels great.

…and if you're wondering how I'm writing this blog? Well, it's been scheduled in the list for up to an hour 🤗

So, with all that said, I now have a list as long as my arm that I'm working through quickly just to get to 'Me-Time,' and today, on top of everything else, I thought it would be fun to start writing a short horror story since we're nearly in October. It's a fun challenge to have in the background and I hope to have it all done by Halloween 🎃 but we'll see. I might get distracted 🤪
